“Broken” – Jake Bugg (2012)
Esta es una de las mejores
baladas que se han escuchado en lo que va de la década, una historia de desamor,
quebrantada y con sensaciones de culpabilidad. Musicalmente es como escuchar
rejuvenecido a Johnny Cash, ese aire de folk y rock sureño venido del Reino
Unido.
Broken es como para escucharla con una copa de whisky, un cigarrillo
(y eso que no fumo) y solitario en un bar (y eso que no bebo solo). La primera
frase de la canción textualmente quebranta a cualquier corazón adolorido "I´ll wait here, for you i´m broken...".
Es
admirable que esta canción demoledora de sentimientos fuese escrita por un
chico de apenas 17 años, otro plus.
